Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide holistic, individualized care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living and promoting a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with physical needs, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families
  • Record and report vital signs, intake and output, weight, and behavioral changes to supervisory personnel
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, assembling and organizing equipment as needed
  • Assist with mealtime activities, delivering and removing patient trays and feeding patients
  • Complete routine daily assignments and perform additional duties as requested
Requirements
  • Must be at least 17 years of age (18 years in some areas)
  • Meet one of the following requirements: active on the Iowa registry, completion of a 75-hour CNA course, EMT certification, or formally holding a medical occupation specialty from the military
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter
Working Conditions

Employee will work flexible hours, with frequent squatting, crawling, crouching, kneeling, and balancing. Must be able to see, speak, and hear. May be exposed to marked change in temperature and humidity, infectious diseases, hazardous waste, and chemicals.
