Job Summary

The Office Clerk position at Campbell County Schools is responsible for providing administrative support to assigned personnel, communicating information to staff and the public, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with compiling student records, including birth certificates, transfers, and immunization records, to meet state, federal, and district requirements.
  • Coordinate with building substitutes to ensure that all assigned classes and positions are covered in the event of an employee absence.
  • Collect payments and fees for transactions as assigned.
  • Communicate with a wide range of individuals, including students, teachers, parents, staff, and external agencies, to provide information and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate activities, such as appointments and trips, to maintain efficiency and compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
  • Direct student workers as needed and assigned to guide and monitor their activities.
  • Ensure accuracy of attendance records, including verification of forgeries and truancies, to comply with state laws.
  • Maintain various records and files, including lunch accounts, rosters, daily student attendance, and periodic reports.
  • Monitor students referred for illness or disciplinary action to ensure their safety and welfare.
  • Operate automated student attendance systems and other software as needed.
  • Perform record-keeping and general clerical functions, including proofreading, filing, copying, and faxing.
  • Prepare various documents and materials, such as notes, correspondence, and reports, to communicate information to staff and the public.
  • Process documents, forms, and reports, including cash payments and requisitions.
  • Receive and distribute supplies and correspondence from various sources to building staff.
  • Respond to inquiries from staff, the public, parents, and students to provide information and direction.
  • Support assigned administrators and building certified staff to ensure all assigned building operations are planned and maintained.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Job-related experience is desired.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
Working Environment

The Office Clerk position requires a safe and healthy work environment. The job involves some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, as well as significant fine finger dexterity. The work environment is generally hazard-free.
