Overview:

The Philanthropy Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the fundraising initiatives and operational functions within the philanthropy sector. This position is characterized by a focused and specialized set of responsibilities, where the specialist serves as a vital resource for informed decision-making. With a blend of experience levels, the team includes both emerging professionals and seasoned experts, all contributing their unique insights and expertise in philanthropy.

Key Responsibilities:


• Uphold the standards of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.

• Generate comprehensive reports and analyze trend data to inform strategic decisions.

• Offer clinical, technical, or administrative assistance to various teams.

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) within the designated area of philanthropy.

• Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, exercising sound judgment and analytical skills while effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Develop and execute project plans, create impactful marketing and communication materials, and fulfill responsibilities aligned with departmental objectives.

Qualifications:

A. Education and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

B. Experience

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar environment is required.
  • Familiarity with Raiser's Edge or comparable donor management systems is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience in fundraising or non-profit sectors is advantageous.
  • Database management experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with volunteers and/or organizing events may be preferred.
  • Three years of experience in processing donations and data within Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge is desirable.
  • Higher-level positions may require five to seven years of experience in a non-profit context.

C. Certifications

  • Preferred: Blackbaud Raiser's Edge or NXT Fundamentals Professional Certification.
