Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing onsite project management and supervision for accounting personnel.
  • Coordinating with government representatives on matters of mutual concern, including scheduling and work quality.
  • Delivering weekly reports on customer service metrics related to accounting requests.
  • Conducting reconciliation and analysis of various Standard General Ledger (SGL) accounts.
  • Managing the obligations, accruals, and payments of legally incurred expenditures.
  • Monitoring and reconciling accounts and preparing budgetary financial reports.
  • Reviewing and interpreting financial reports for management.
  • Identifying and resolving issues related to automated accounting systems.
  • Ensuring accurate recording of daily financial activities.
  • Collaborating with program officials to understand extensive work processes.
  • Preparing and reviewing test data for software applications.
  • Guiding the maintenance and analysis of general ledger and property accounts.
  • Assisting in the development and updating of accounting procedures.
  • Providing professional customer service to a diverse clientele.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent coursework.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting/Auditing within the federal sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Work Environment:
This position requires adherence to specific work hours and may involve overtime as approved.

Note: This position is open to U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and EAD holders. Relocation assistance is not available.
