Position Overview

AECOM is seeking a skilled Ecologist for immediate employment in our Conshohocken, PA office. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage data, conduct risk assessments, and perform statistical analyses, including organizing and summarizing environmental data.
  • Oversee various risk assessment projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Conduct statistical evaluations, exposure assessments, and risk characterizations in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and technical documents detailing risk assessment methodologies and findings.
  • Apply scientific principles and technologies to devise solutions for technical challenges.
  • Engage in business development activities, including proposal writing and client relationship management.
  • Provide expertise in ecological risk assessments and collaborate with regulatory agencies.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff while fostering their professional development.
  • Utilize statistical software (e.g., R, ProUCL) effectively.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's license.
  • U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Toxicology, or Biology.
  • 8+ years of experience in environmental consulting.
  • At least 4 years of experience in ecological risk evaluations and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Experience in developing competitive business proposals for environmental services.
  • Ability to work independently on technical matters related to ecological risk assessment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in technical writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with probabilistic ecological risk assessments and toxicity testing.
