About the Role

Dunlop Manufacturing, Inc., a leading manufacturer of guitar accessories, is seeking a skilled Production Artist to join our team in California. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality artwork for guitar picks and capos, collaborating with clients, and ensuring the accuracy of print-ready files.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create visually appealing artwork for guitar picks and capos using client-supplied designs and interpreting client direction.
  • Prepare files for print, including analyzing size specifications, color selection, and type consistency.
  • Expertly edit vector files and prepare color separations for screen/pad printing.
  • Archive and update graphic files, suggesting improvements to formats and processes to enhance production quality.
  • Assist with the maintenance of printer and film hardware.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in preparing files for print.
  • Excellent visual, conceptual, and technical skills.
  • Strong understanding of design, layout, and typography.
  • Knowledge of prepress print techniques and technology.
  • Proficiency in Mac-based software, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Music and guitar product knowledge is a plus.
