Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer

Vaco Technology is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in downtown Indy. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and high levels of security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain Windows and Azure environments, including Domain Controllers, Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Implement and maintain datacenter networking and equipment, ensuring efficient server and storage operations.
  • Assist in the implementation of data protection policies, using backup technologies and storage replication technologies.
  • Apply patches, firmware updates, and OS upgrades, adhering to security best practices.
  • Support and install networking environments, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Assist with application installation and updates.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure projects, including storage, servers, virtualization, disaster recovery, and email management.
  • Assist with hardware decommissioning.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting IT infrastructure services, including Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, physical hardware maintenance, and cloud storage.
  • Desirable skills: Exchange, VMware administration, LAN/WAN technologies, and data protection platforms.
  • Familiarity with Solar Winds.
