About This Role

We are seeking a skilled and patient Driving Instructor to join our team at Coastline Academy. As a Driving Instructor, you will play a crucial role in educating and advising students on the fundamentals of operating a car behind the wheel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach practical skills related to all aspects of driving, including safety and emergency procedures.
  • Provide instruction on the rules of the road and help students develop confidence in their driving skills.
  • Document and report on students' progress, maintaining timely communication with your supervisor and support team.
  • Maintain professionalism with students and fellow team members, attending team meetings for updates and ongoing development.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for helping people learn and develop their driving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in a learning environment and provide clear instruction and coaching.
  • A valid State Driver's License in the state you wish to work in and a strong safety mindset.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check.
  • 10 years of legal driving experience and ability to focus for extended periods of time.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in a vehicle and see and hear during all weather conditions.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, touch, feel, and lift up to 25 pounds at times.
