Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist I Part-Time to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in collecting patient specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accurate and timely results.

Responsibilities
  • Collect patient specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
  • Administer oral solutions as trained and required.
  • Verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
  • Enter data accurately and navigate computer systems to complete tasks.
  • Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required.
  • Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory management, sanitizing, and answering phones.
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • One year phlebotomy experience preferred, with customer service experience in a retail or service environment also preferred.
