The Compliance Audit Specialist will play a vital role in assisting Kel-Mar Inc with the evaluation and organization of extensive mailings, responses, financial documents, and other relevant information. This position involves supporting various phases of compliance assessments, which encompass preparing certified mailings, tracking and documenting received materials, conducting preliminary analyses of records, and drafting record requests and closure letters. Additionally, the Compliance Audit Specialist will aid in formulating daily email communications to stakeholders regarding formal meeting summaries. This role is primarily remote; however, candidates should be prepared to travel occasionally for specific tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support all phases of compliance assessments, including data entry, certified mailing preparations, processing records, preliminary record analysis, documenting research findings, and drafting record requests and closure letters.
- Download, organize, analyze, and reconcile financial records effectively.
- Assist in the research and validation of address information or key contacts.
- Help prepare email communications and formalize meeting notes.
- Document time spent on engagements accurately.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferred experience in handling financial data or high-volume mailings.
- Associate degree or equivalent college credits; strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 GPA required for recent graduates); preferred coursework in accounting, business, economics, or finance.
- Proven ability to think critically and analyze data effectively.
- Proficiency in Excel (experience with VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and conditional statements preferred).
- Familiarity with MS Word (experience with Mail Merges preferred).
- Strong data entry, record processing, and organizational skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a quick learning ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to integrity and delivering quality client services.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and navigate ambiguity.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively with professionals at all levels.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Compensation for this position varies based on several factors, including work location, experience level, and skill set. The hiring range for this role is between $52,000 and $55,000.
