Job Opportunity

York County Community Action Corp. is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Head Start Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality child care and comprehensive education, health, and well-being services to children from 6 weeks to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with families to develop child-focused goals that meet individual needs.
  • Plan, implement, and document a comprehensive child development program suitable for infants and toddlers.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with children and families.
  • Assume responsibilities for primary caregiving to ensure continuity of care.
  • Coordinate the daily operations of the classroom while supervising the activities of 1 or more staff members.

Requirements:

  • Infant/Toddler CDA or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood (preferred).
  • Experience working with children in a center-based setting; prior experience working with families and supervising others preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet families' needs.
  • Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).
  • Ability to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.
