Job Summary

Regency Hospital - Greenville is seeking a skilled Cardiac Monitor Technician to join our team. As a Cardiac Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for continuously monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms and responding to alarms in a timely and appropriate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Continuously observe and monitor patients' cardiac rhythms, identifying and responding to alarms as needed.
  • Verify correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms, and artifact, and maintain EKG monitor alarms.
  • Complete EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
  • Ensure strip interpretations are validated by a registered nurse.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.
  • Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date in position.
