This role emphasizes outstanding patient care by prioritizing safety, preferences, and effective communication. The technician collaborates with patients, families, colleagues, and external partners to ensure precise cardiac diagnostics and a patient-centered approach, ultimately aiming for the best possible outcomes and satisfaction for all parties involved.
Talent Pool:Allied Health
Responsibilities:
Conducts routine and specialized examinations in accordance with established protocols, ensuring high diagnostic quality.
Interprets test results and effectively communicates findings to cardiologists, facilitating accurate diagnosis and treatment planning while promoting seamless teamwork between sonographers and cardiologists.
Operates, troubleshoots, and coordinates repairs for all diagnostic equipment to guarantee reliable test results, thereby enhancing patient safety and workflow efficiency.
Maintains professional certifications and CPR qualifications to comply with industry standards and be prepared for any cardiac emergencies that may occur.
If trained and competent, performs IV insertions and maintains annual competency in IV skills.
Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
