## Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to work at our office in Arlington, Virginia. As a part-time or full-time employee, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a supportive work environment.
## Key Responsibilities
* Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments
* Take and develop dental x-rays
* Assess patients' oral health and provide oral hygiene instructions
* Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
* Assist the dentist during procedures by providing instruments and materials
* Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other dental software systems
* Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and preventive measures
* Perform dental charting and update medical coding as necessary
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care
## Requirements
* Valid VA state dental hygiene license
* Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
* Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic
* Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
