Job Description

As the Manager-Embedded Firmware, you will be responsible for leading the development of mission-critical embedded controller software. Your expertise in real-time processing, control theory, and embedded Linux will be instrumental in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading development teams to complete architecture, specifications, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and related documentation for grid automation software.
  • Providing support for existing products to contract manufacturers and internal customer support groups.
  • Developing project schedules, task, and project completion time estimates, then managing progress of the team against the schedule.
  • Communicating effectively with project stakeholders at all levels and across disciplines to establish requirements, clear roadblocks, and to set meaningful objectives.
  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring team members to meet personal, professional, and corporate performance objectives.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 10+ years of experience in the design and development of real-time, mission-critical embedded controller software.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver embedded solutions involving several application areas.
  • Line responsibility for team members in diverse geographical locations is a plus.
