Our R&D Group

The R&D group at Vanderlande is responsible for developing and refining products and processes for use in the automated logistics industry. Our team of experts is dedicated to creating innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior R&D Electrical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and refining electrical designs and architectures for standard products, defining design parameters for the application of standard products by project teams, and being well-versed in applicable standards such as UL and NEC. The ideal candidate will also have experience with AutoCAD Electrical/Eplan, safety PLCs, and industrial fieldbus.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating electrical designs and architectures for standard products
• Defining design parameters for the application of standard products by project teams
• Being well-versed in applicable standards such as UL and NEC
• Developing and maintaining standard methods for performing engineering calculations
• Setting process and design standards in place for use by project teams
• Helping develop automation for repetitive CAD and design processes
• Executing or coordinating physical testing of equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent)
• 5 years relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and practices
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical/Eplan, safety PLCs, and industrial fieldbus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
