  • Conduct visual inspections of manufactured parts and raw materials to ensure compliance with drawing requirements.
  • Perform hardness testing of raw materials and manufactured parts using Brinell and Rockwell hardness testing methods.
  • Prioritize raw materials and parts for inspection processes and set up gages for use in inspection processes.
  • Knowledge of visual inspection processes and procedures, as well as surface conditions of materials and machined surfaces.
  • In-process and final inspection of assembled equipment, such as Wheeled Loaders, Sizers, Drills, and Hardrock underground loaders/trucks.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, such as Nonconformance Reports (NCR) and dimensional inspection reports.
  • Interface with internal departments and personnel to support production needs.

  • Ability to operate and functionally test mechanically driven equipment.
  • Qualified to use rebound hardness testing machines.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in Machinist, Inspection, or Dimensional inspection.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents.
  • Self-starter with good analytical skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Experience with dimensional mechanical measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings and technical requirements.
  • Working knowledge of receiving, in-process, and final inspection processes and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, scanners, and copiers.
