Job Summary

This position is responsible for conducting analytical assessments, preventive maintenance, and repair tasks for a diverse fleet of construction machinery, trucks, cars, and hand tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong enthusiasm for the repair and upkeep of heavy machinery and possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analytical assessments and repair tasks for a diverse fleet of construction machinery, trucks, cars, and hand tools
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel and gasoline engines
  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment with a manual transmission
  • Meet productivity and quality standards
Requirements
  • Successful completion of the Commonwealth's Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic Trainee program
  • Two years of journey level mechanic experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment
  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License
  • Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
