About the Role:

Fairview Health Services is seeking a skilled Health Information Management Representative II to join our team at our University West Bank Campus ROI office. As a key member of our HIM department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the completeness, integrity, and privacy of medical record documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process written and verbal release of information requests in compliance with Fairview policy, federal, state, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Timely and accurately process all work, ensuring high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with external care providers to electronically access Fairview health records for urgent patient care.
  • Retrieve and distribute paper, microfilm, and microfiche patient health records to support patient care, and re-file records and other documents as needed.
  • Complete special projects as needed, and contribute to the process of collecting expected payment by ensuring health records are available in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in health information management or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in an applicable health information management department may substitute for an associate degree.
  • Working knowledge of EHR systems.
