Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide healthcare services to students and staff in a school setting in Washington. The LPN will be responsible for supporting the health and well-being of the school community, collaborating with school nurses and administrators, and ensuring a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct care to students and staff for illness, injury, and chronic health conditions

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Perform health screenings and assessments to monitor students' health status

Assist with managing students with special health needs and developing individualized healthcare plans

Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices

Collaborate with school nurses, teachers, and administrators to support students' health and wellness

Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation

Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed

Participate in school safety and emergency preparedness plans

Stay current on best practices in school nursing and healthcare regulations

Qualifications:

Current Washington State LPN license

Experience working as an LPN in a school or pediatric setting preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school environment

Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to school health services

CPR and First Aid certification
