Technical Support Specialist for IT Infrastructure

Christus Health is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide technical support for our IT infrastructure. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining workstation and peripheral equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide technical support for end-users through installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of workstation and peripheral equipment.
- Resolve problems reported by the Information Systems Service Desk in a timely and efficient manner.
- Implement new functionality to improve user experience and productivity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all technical activities and adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions to users at all levels, including support for technology and processes.
- Support business goals and objectives for the Department, the Information Services Organization, and the organization as a whole.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School degree or equivalent required; post-high school Information Systems coursework preferred.
- An IT-based certification is preferred.
- A valid New Mexico Driver's License is required.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- BASIC knowledge of desktop operating systems and related software required.
- Ability to maintain good customer relations and explain complex solutions and problems to users.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Good technical writing and documentation skills.
$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
This estimate is based on national averages and may vary depending on location and other factors.
