Job Summary

Apple is seeking an experienced Touch ASIC Architect to join our Touch Technologies team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing next-generation Touch Technologies for Apple products.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance, low-power Touch sensing systems and ASICs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify critical aspects of Touch system design
  • Author detailed specifications, analyses, and characterization plans for Touch system ASICs
  • Perform modeling of Touch systems and ASICs using high-level tools
  • Optimize designs across multiple disciplines, including Hardware/Firmware design partitioning, trade-off assessments, design checking, and tolerance analysis
  • Contribute technical assessments to strategic decision-making relating to technology and investments
  • Perform defect root cause analysis and resolution
  • Communicate program status, technical issues, risks, and mitigation plans clearly and concisely
Requirements
  • BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
  • Strong electrical engineering background in analog circuit design; exposure to signal processing, mixed-signal design, filter design, and/or embedded system design is a plus
  • Experience in system-level design, requirements documentation, and IC micro-architecture definition of complex mixed-signal ASICs
  • Experience with IC bring-up and debug
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Verilog, or similar simulation, design, and modeling tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
