Job Description

At Apple, we're looking for a highly skilled Touch ASIC Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Touch Technology team, you will be responsible for designing and developing next-generation Touch Technologies for our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cost-optimized digital architectures for Touch and sensing ASICs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify critical aspects of design interaction with the overall product
  • Author detailed specifications, analyses, and characterization plans for Touch system ASICs
  • Define system-level and IC micro-architecture of complex digital and mixed-signal ASICs
  • Optimize designs across multiple disciplines, including Hardware/Firmware design partitioning, trade-off assessments, design checking, and tolerance analysis
Requirements
  • BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
  • Experience leading chip architecture and/or digital design, preferably in touch or communications
  • Strong electrical engineering background in embedded system design, including ASIC microarchitecture, computer architecture, SoC architecture, and custom or standard DSP or hardware accelerator microarchitecture
  • Experience in FPGA emulation system design, including leading pre-silicon system validation, prototype bring-up, debug, validation, characterization, and module integration support
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid teamwork and leadership skills
