Reporting To: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing quality assurance efforts within the Energy Services department. Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, this position is tasked with developing and upholding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting thorough process evaluations, performing audits, and engaging in various quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with the highest quality benchmarks. This role requires handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, showcasing strong judgment, and maintaining a well-organized approach to multiple responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document quality assurance activities, providing recommendations for enhancements.
  • Implement quality assurance standards to create and revise SOPs, work instructions, and supplementary training materials.
  • Ensure adherence to program policies, procedures, and quality standards through regular audits across various programs.
  • Propose and execute additional training and resources based on audit findings and observations.
  • Utilize quality assurance methodologies to document and validate compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage projects aimed at improving performance and processes.
  • Achieve objectives set by the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Training and Quality Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven interpersonal and organizational abilities in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong customer service aptitude, capable of maintaining composure in dynamic situations.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Experience in process improvement is preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and proficiency in root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.

Work Environment

This role is primarily office-based, with potential local travel required. The work environment may vary from quiet to moderately loud, depending on the specific area.

Physical Requirements

Employees in this position may occasionally need to stand, walk, sit, use hands for various tasks, reach, climb stairs, and lift items up to 20 pounds. Normal hearing and vision ranges are necessary for effective performance.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's Degree or a minimum of three years of experience in a customer service role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience in a non-profit organization is beneficial.
