Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team at Ryan Veterinary Hospital. As a Renal Transplant Specialist, you will play a critical role in the care and management of patients undergoing renal transplant procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the screening of potential recipients and donor patients, including client education and consultation with referring veterinarians.
- Participate in surgery during transplant procedures and develop rapport with all levels of staff to ensure exceptional pre- and postoperative management of recipients and donors.
- Assess patients on a regular basis and communicate concerns appropriately to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transplant patient data.
- Collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure consistent follow-up care for all patients.
- Train and assist new surgeons and residents relative to transplant technology.
- Communicate with clients and referring veterinarians to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
- An Associate's Degree or two-year college equivalent and 3-5 years of experience in veterinary medicine or a related field.
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
