Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our team at Saint Anne's Hospital. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients undergoing endoscopy procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with endoscopy procedures, maintaining a high level of aseptic technique and infection control principles.
- Process and maintain endoscopy equipment, including high-level disinfection and sterilization.
- Update and maintain IFU's related to endoscopy equipment and instrumentation.
- Perform specimen handling and documentation.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited school of surgical technologists preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Certification/Licensure: CST preferred.
- Knowledge of ASGE Guidelines, Universal Protocol, and Spauling Classification.
