Job Title: Linguist and Cultural Analyst

Job Summary

This full-time position is Monday through Friday and operates in a professional office environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing language-related analytical services, including translation, transcription, interpretation, and monitoring capabilities in support of intelligence collection and other operational missions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform translation in a wide variety of complex texts, including documents, video, radio, social media, and news reports.
  • Capture subtleties, nuance, tone, and register in translations.
  • Convey commentary reflecting specific culture and real-world cultural dynamics.
  • Understand the essentials of all speech between two native speakers in a standard dialect.
  • Follow accurately the essentials of conversations between educated native speakers.
  • Understand radio broadcasts, news stories, oral reports, and public addresses on non-technical subjects.
Qualifications
  • Analyze and integrate intelligence data, plans, or systems.
  • Analyze, review, and integrate intelligence data from a variety of sources.
  • Utilize intelligence systems and intelligence analysis systems.
  • Provide analysis of threat and make recommendations.
  • Identify/extract information components meeting military information requirement list criteria.
  • Utilize the following media to conduct collection: print, internet, radio, television, and local populace.
