About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team at RIT Solutions, Inc. as a Cloud Solutions Expert. This is a remote position that requires a reliable internet connection and flexibility in work hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Automation Solutions: Comfortable with user stories and constraints to design automation and integrated systems that meet the operational needs of our clients.
  • Identify and Report Defects: Identify and report defects, track issues, and work closely with development teams to resolve them.
  • Scripting and Development: Design and develop using scripting languages (ex. Python, UNIX shell, HCL, YAML, and JSON).
  • Java and JavaScript Development: Comfortable with Java and JavaScript application development.
  • Infrastructure Automation: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of multiple infrastructure automation tools and technologies such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • DevOps Tools: Implementation and support of DevOps tools including GIT and CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Automation Solutions Integration: Integrate automation solutions with other IT tools and platforms.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to build and manage infrastructure in a consistent and repeatable way.
  • Automation Script Maintenance: Monitor and maintain automation scripts to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Best Practices Development: Develop and implement best practices for automation development and operation.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in IT infrastructure automation.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with customers, developers, and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop effective automation solutions.
  • Documentation: Document your work and share your knowledge with others.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Above: Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science or related field.
  • Cloud Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing, building, and deploying Cloud solutions.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Infrastructure automation (Terraform).
  • Containerization: Containerization (Rancher, Docker, K8S, EKS).
  • CI/CD Frameworks and Tools: CI/CD frameworks and tools (Gitlab, Artifactory, Ansible).
  • Test Automation Frameworks: Experience with test automation frameworks.
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • SaaS-Based Product Development Environment: Experience working in a SaaS-based product development environment or FDA-regulated medical device environment desired.
