Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and high-quality food production.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to maintain consistency and excellence.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute special events, banquets, and private parties.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company standards and policies.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and receiving to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Conduct regular kitchen audits and evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new menu items and concepts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in a high-volume fine dining restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing kitchen teams.
  • Strong culinary skills, including knife skills, cooking techniques, and menu planning.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements listed below are examples of those of the Chef de Cuisine may need to perform in order to carry out essential job functions:

  • Persons performing service in this position will exert 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

  • This type of work involves a combination of sitting, walking, and standing for periods of time.
