Workplace Safety Specialist

We are currently seeking a qualified Workplace Safety Specialist to join our team at 20/20 Plumbing & Heating, Inc. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in occupational health and safety.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing company employees' safety at work. They will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA guidelines and company standards for safety in the workplace.
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety walks and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, and incidents.
- Provide education and training to employees on safety standards, expectations, and best practices.
- Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations for corrective action.
- Participate in safety audits and provide expert advice on safety-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure that new hires receive proper safety training.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School graduate or GED required.
- 2-3+ years' experience managing safety efforts in multi-family projects preferred.
- OSHA 30hr and CPR-First Aid certification required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
- Ability to multitask while prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
