Job Title: Juvenile Justice Specialist

This position is responsible for overseeing New Mexico's compliance with federal juvenile justice and delinquency prevention requirements. The successful candidate will have expertise in grant administration, program management, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and coordinate NM CYFD's compliance with federal JJRA of 2018;
  • Manage federal grants, including Title II and PREA, and ensure timely reporting;
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce racial and ethnic disparities in the juvenile justice system;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee, to ensure effective program implementation;
  • Monitor expenditure of federal grant funds and ensure compliance with financial management requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in program administration or project management;
  • Knowledge of federal grant administration, program management, and communication skills;
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including state and federal agencies, and local service providers;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
