Key Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Design: Develop and maintain scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Deployment Manager.
  • Resource Automation: Streamline the provisioning and management of cloud resources to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • CI/CD Management:
    • Establish and oversee CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build to ensure smooth code integration and deployment.
  • Integrate automated testing and monitoring within the CI/CD framework to uphold high-quality standards and rapid delivery.
  • Data Pipeline Development:
    • Collaborate with data teams to design and enhance data pipelines on GCP using tools like Apache Airflow, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Dataflow.
  • Implement monitoring solutions to swiftly identify and address data pipeline issues.
  • Cloud Expertise:
    • Leverage GCP services, including Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions, to create scalable and cost-effective solutions.
  • Adopt best practices for cloud security, cost management, and resource optimization.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide necessary infrastructure support.
  • Encourage a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Monitoring and Incident Response:
    • Develop robust monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Stackdriver, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Manage incidents effectively to minimize downtime and ensure quick resolutions.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Create and maintain thorough documentation for infrastructure, CI/CD processes, and operational protocols.
  • Offer training and support to team members on best practices in DevOps and GCP services.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in IaC tools such as Terraform, Deployment Manager, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Cloud Build.
  • Experience with data pipeline technologies like Apache Airflow, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Dataflow.
  • Familiarity with GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery.
  • Proficient in scripting languages including Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Experience Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering, with a focus on data warehousing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Educational Background:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
