Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant I to join our Medical Surgical Unit at Mercy Fore River. As a member of our team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of nursing staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating and interacting with patients and families, physicians, peers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure successful customer outcomes.
  • Orienting patients to the hospital environment and routine.
  • Attending and participating in unit committees or educational peer opportunities to improve quality and engagement.
  • Documenting all aspects of patient care in a timely manner.
  • Participating in unit quality improvement initiatives.
  • Providing care in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
  • Labeling and delivering specimens per policy.
  • Maintaining a safe environment by complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures.

You will have the opportunity to work alternate shift schedules, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, and may be required to lift, move, and load up to 50 pounds.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess a Certified Nursing Assistant certification and no minimum education requirement.
