Senior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee all financial operations related to our construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project-related financial transactions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting and tax regulations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management as required.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Software Expertise: Expert knowledge of accounting software such as Sage and BuildOps.
  • Construction Accounting: Strong understanding of construction accounting and finance principles.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
