About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Avionics Control Design Automation Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our Autonomy Architecture team, you will be responsible for leading the development of architectures and approaches for automating the design, test, verification, and validation of our launch vehicle control applications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of architectures and approaches for automating the design, test, verification, and validation of our launch vehicle control applications.
  • Build and deploy tools to eliminate design, analysis, and verification bottlenecks and improve engineering efficiency.
  • Work closely with design teams to improve throughput and maintain high-quality control applications.
  • Develop autonomous control applications and provide support to test teams to gain insight and knowledge into our development framework.
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Advanced Simulink development skills.
  • 5+ years industry experience in Avionics operations, launch systems, aerospace, or satellite operations.
  • Hands-on experience in developing, authoring, and executing integrated tests or operating launch vehicles.
  • Proven experience with Avionics analysis and operations.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS Degree in Engineering or related subject area.
  • 7+ years experience in avionics operations, launch systems, aerospace, or satellite operations.
  • Engineering leadership and mentorship experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience developing rockets, missiles, or other sophisticated aerospace, automotive, or marine vehicle systems.
  • Experience with operations and testing of aerospace or similar vehicles.
