Clinical Laboratory Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Manager to lead our Phlebotomy and Satellite Operations team. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of our Clinical Lab satellite locations and phlebotomy services.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee budget preparation, monitoring of revenue, expenses, test volume, FTE utilization, report/result turnaround, and workflow.
- Manage conflict and identify problems to arrive at constructive solutions while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Collaborate with Laboratory Medical Directors, Laboratory Leadership, and other Clinical Laboratory staff to suggest test methodologies and instrumentation appropriate for clinical use.
- Participate in the hiring, training, promotion, and discipline of laboratory staff in conjunction with Laboratory Leadership.
- Grow and develop staff to increase overall knowledge base.
- Establish and implement metrics, policies, objectives, procedures for departments, and reports on results and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, CAP, and other accreditation agencies' regulations.
- Coordinate, supports, and monitors laboratory departments with major focus on improving the operations to run seamlessly to ensure quality patient care.
- Develop budgets including recommendations for major equipment purchases.
- Assist in the development of facility designs, new locations, and remodels.
- Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with the company's values and mission.
- Bachelor's Science Degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science or equivalent.
- Master's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, business administration, or equivalent preferred.
- ASCP or NCA certification in Medical Technology.
- 5+ years' clinical experience in the laboratory.
- 3+ years' supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Quality Improvement programs, processes, and tools.
- Ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels, particularly peers, team members, Pathologists and other departments.
- Knowledge of project planning, budgeting, human resources management, and report development.
- Prior experience validating and implementing new tests and technologies.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Self-directed, open to new learning experiences and demonstrate teamwork.
- Ability to coordinate multiple resources effectively to accomplish a task or accept an idea through leadership.
- High level of competency with computers, the internet, and computer software such as MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
