The Eyewear Specialist plays a crucial role in providing personalized service to clients seeking eyewear solutions. The Eyewear Specialist is essential to our mission at AEG Vision, ensuring customer satisfaction through expert advice and attentive service.
Provides exceptional service to each client, ensuring they fully understand our tailored recommendations for eyewear products and services. Builds a loyal clientele by delivering outstanding service and encouraging referrals. Stays informed about the latest industry products, procedures, and available frame and lens options. Manages patient communications, including order updates and issue resolution, while collaborating with management as needed. Accesses and reviews patient records to ensure accurate service delivery. Guides clients in choosing frames and lens types, considering their specific requirements and facial measurements. Educates clients on the proper care of eyeglasses and contact lenses. Measures eyes and faces to guarantee a proper fit for eyewear. Interprets prescriptions from eye care professionals accurately. Creates detailed work orders for lab technicians, specifying lens requirements. Monitors the status of pending orders, ensuring timely updates for clients regarding any delays. Dispenses eyewear, ensuring proper fit and comfort, and solicits client feedback. Adjusts eyewear for optimal visual clarity and comfort, utilizing various tools for adjustments and repairs. Proficiently uses equipment such as pupilometers, PD sticks, and lensometers. Maintains regular communication with technicians and management to relay patient information and check order statuses. Inspects finished products for quality, cleaning and polishing lenses as necessary. Ensures cleanliness and organization of the store environment, including displays and work areas. Restocks merchandise to maintain an appealing retail space. Addresses client inquiries regarding insurance, warranties, and product details thoroughly and accurately. Collaborates effectively with technicians, front desk staff, managers, and optometrists. Sells additional products such as lens cleaners and sunglasses.Qualifications
High School Diploma required. A minimum of one year of experience in optical sales or as an optician is strongly preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven customer service abilities and a friendly demeanor; sales experience is advantageous. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods.Travel Requirements
