Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-admission evaluations for the appropriateness of services.
  • Initiate the admission process by educating and informing patients/families of our services.
  • Obtain informed consent.
  • Provide nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s) that optimize patient and family-directed comfort and quality of life.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
  • Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
  • Must possess current CPR Certification.
  • 1 year of Hospice experience, preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, agency personnel, and the general public.
  • Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures.
