Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Support Coordinator to join our team at Resources for Human Development. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and want to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

About the Role

The Direct Support Professional, also known as the Support Coordinator, will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our consumers. This includes providing supervision, implementing interventions, and assisting clients in achieving their clinical goals. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a commitment to person-centered support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to consumers with intellectual disabilities, promoting independence and autonomy.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Assist consumers with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, toileting, and hygiene.
  • Transport consumers to community-based activities and appointments.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, as required by regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience working in human services or a related field is beneficial.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Subject to background checks and employment screenings.
