Company Overview: Taconic Biosciences is on the lookout for a Senior Laboratory Specialist in Molecular Analysis to join our dedicated team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our laboratory operations.
Compensation: The hourly wage ranges from $24 to $27, with variations based on experience, education, and market conditions. A 10% shift differential applies for 2nd shift positions.
Work Schedule: The position offers flexibility with two shifts available: 1st Shift from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, and 2nd Shift from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm, with initial training on the first two days during standard hours.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting a variety of molecular assays on biological samples to derive genotype and phenotype data.
- Evaluating the quality of results and addressing any discrepancies with appropriate follow-up actions.
- Managing laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure optimal functionality.
- Overseeing the receipt, logging, processing, and reporting of samples and results.
- Prioritizing tasks to achieve timely and accurate results with minimal retesting.
- Contributing to process enhancements and adapting existing assays to new technologies.
- Providing support in other laboratory functions as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent technical experience.
- A minimum of one year of relevant laboratory experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities are essential.
