Respiratory Therapist

Thompson Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a Pulmonary Function Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for achieving optimal performance of the pulmonary function testing lab in accordance with revenue projections and productivity models.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in activities of the pulmonary function testing labs, including scheduling and performing various pulmonary function tests.
Assist in the development of policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.
Prepare reports of procedures performed, maintain records and files reflecting patient information, expenditures, revenue, and other operational data.
Implement procedures to ensure maintenance and operation of diagnostic equipment within manufacturers' specifications and accreditation requirements; document quality control procedures.
Ensure adequate inventory of laboratory supplies and materials.
Coordinate certification programs and continuing education information for the laboratory.
Requirements:
Must be registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care or grandfathered in to the NBRC.
Must be licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by New York State Department of Professions.
Must maintain a current BLS certification.
Required - Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program
Preferred - Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Associate or Bachelor Program
Required Three years' experience as a Respiratory Therapist or 5 years as a Certified Therapist.
