Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at Kinseth Hospitality. As a Hotel Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the physical structures of our hotel buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain internal areas of hotel buildings, including storage/boiler rooms, parking lots, public areas, banquet rooms, and guest rooms.
  • Maintain and repair buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, such as vehicles, vacuum cleaners, and riding mowers.
  • Monitor and maintain hotel swimming pools, ensuring proper sanitation and chemical usage.
  • Cut grass and trim weeds, construct decorative flower garden borders, and plant flowers on property.
  • Repair parking lots and sidewalks using asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
  • Operate snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
  • Repair, paint, or replace building interior walls, trim, wood, brick, stone, and concrete.
  • Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service, greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner and addressing any maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure prompt response to guest requests for services and repairs.
  • Assist in the security of the property, including vehicles, tools, furniture, supplies, key cards, and guests.
  • Use all materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid waste, unnecessary damage, or accidents.
  • Participate in property safety and preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and hazard-free working environment.
  • Assist with setting up, tearing down, and cleaning banquet and meeting rooms as assigned.
  • Run errands and drive as necessary to meet business needs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurability, and clean driving record.
  • Certified Pool Operator and HVAC certificates and/or licenses may be required depending on the business unit.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to risk of electrical shock, moving mechanical parts, and power tools or power equipment. The noise level is usually moderate.
