Role Summary

The Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's talent management strategy. This individual is tasked with enhancing and overseeing the performance management framework, proposing talent development strategies, and delivering top-tier methodologies and tools to boost organizational effectiveness and engagement levels. Acting as a consultant to management, the Human Resources Manager identifies talent-related requirements and provides recommendations aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Management:

  • Collaborate with leadership to devise strategies that promote robust employee engagement and managerial proficiency.
  • Continuously refine existing programs and policies to ensure they remain competitive and aligned with the organizational culture.
  • Gather data and create presentations to support human capital initiatives.
  • Ensure meticulous execution of core processes and internal controls.
  • Identify training and development opportunities and recommend suitable programs; conduct training sessions as necessary.
  • Lead or participate in designated project teams.
  • Manage data and reporting requests for the Talent department.
  • Develop and implement HR technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

HR Information System Management:

  • Oversee the integrity of New Hire, Onboarding, Position Changes, and Termination data processes.
  • Manage user accounts and access permissions within the HRIS.
  • Partner with HRIS vendors to optimize system offerings.
  • Generate reports based on departmental and organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership and finance to implement necessary database updates.
  • Resolve data connectivity issues between HRIS and benefit systems.

Compensation and Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including healthcare, life insurance, dental plans, and retirement plans.
  • Assist with pension setup and modifications in conjunction with payroll management.
  • Support the development and administration of the compensation plan.
  • Enhance the total compensation package to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws regarding benefits and compensation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on employee benefits and compensation policies.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Oversee the annual open enrollment process.
  • Conduct benefit and compensation surveys and analyze data for internal use.

Employee Relations Management:

  • Address and resolve complex employee relations issues through thorough investigations.
  • Recommend practices that promote a supportive employer-employee relationship.
  • Oversee workers' compensation and unemployment insurance claims.
  • Support integration activities during acquisitions.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements affecting employee management.
  • Enhance the onboarding process based on employee feedback.
  • Drive improvements in the performance management process.

Leadership Development:

  • Coach managers and employees to enhance workplace relationships and productivity.
  • Provide feedback to staff and ensure accountability for results.
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of HR team members.
  • Supervise and mentor junior HR staff.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Human Resources team.
  • Facilitate the hiring and training of new department staff.
  • Manage employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policy.
  • Collaborate with leadership to execute the organization's human resources strategy.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various HR disciplines, including compensation, benefits, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
  • Effective communication skills with executives and senior leaders.
  • Capability to manage strategic initiatives alongside daily operations.
  • Proficiency in creating impactful presentations.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
    • Familiarity with Google Workspace tools.
    • Experience with HRIS and ATS systems.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
Physical Demands

Work is generally performed in an office environment with occasional extended periods at computer terminals. Some travel to off-site locations may be required.
