INFINITE LOVING HANDS is looking for a caring and committed personal support specialist to deliver essential care and assistance to individuals requiring help, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals recuperating from health issues. The successful candidate will be dedicated to improving the well-being of our clients and will take on responsibilities that include aiding with daily living tasks, ensuring safety, and fostering independence.
Primary Duties:
- Deliver personal care services such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including transfers and ambulation.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, providing assistance with feeding when necessary.
- Monitor and document clients' health status, including vital signs and any changes in condition.
- Administer prescribed medications and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
- Support light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing living spaces.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and activities.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social events, and outings as required.
- Effectively communicate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and any concerns.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, following health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in caregiving or related fields is advantageous.
- Preferred previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar capacity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is a plus.
- Must successfully pass background checks and drug screening as mandated.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and transfer clients as necessary.
- Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended durations.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving.
