Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geothermal Systems Technician to join our team at Strategic Energy Solutions. As a key member of our project teams, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of geothermal energy systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and maintain geothermal heat pumps and other related equipment
  • Monitor and control operating activities at geothermal power generation facilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as necessary to ensure optimal system performance
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to design and implement geothermal systems
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the suitability of geothermal energy systems for commercial buildings
  • Develop and implement load calculations for geothermal feasibility studies
  • Design and layout geothermal systems according to property characteristics, heating and cooling requirements, piping and equipment requirements, and applicable regulations
  • Oversee and witness newly installed geothermal systems, flushing, purging, and other specifications
  • Monitor geothermal system instrumentation and controls
  • Maintain, calibrate, repair, and troubleshoot tools and devices used in the field
  • Witness flow and pressure tests of vertical and horizontal geothermal loop piping
  • Collect and record data associated with installation of geothermal systems and bore fields
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of geothermal energy systems and their applications
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials
