Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in consultations with designated facility leads on complex clinical and ethical issues.
  • Provide both direct and indirect patient services, including comprehensive clinical assessments and treatment plans.

  • Exercise independent clinical judgment in patient care decisions.
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations for a varied patient demographic, including geriatric and combat veterans facing mental health challenges.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines, including those set by The Joint Commission (TJC) and HIPAA.
  • Deliver psycho-diagnostic services and apply appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques.
  • Potentially lead as a mental health team leader, overseeing consults and specialty clinic referrals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning sessions to guarantee holistic patient care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, making informed treatment decisions based on results.
  • Engage in supervision and teaching responsibilities for psychiatric residency programs.
  • Address a range of psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a full and unrestricted medical license in any state or U.S. territory, have completed an ACGME or AOA accredited residency, and be board certified or board eligible. Additionally, candidates should hold an NPI and DEA certificate and meet all federal and state eligibility requirements for participation in various healthcare programs.
