Position Overview

Join our team in supporting the development, advancement, and sustainment of weapon systems for the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and its mission partners. You'll be part of a team with experience and in-depth understanding of environments including ground, near-space, space, and any system operating in those environments to meet current and projected strategic, operational, and tactical needs for the Department of Defense (DoD). QinetiQ is a mission-led innovation company that works with the USSF and DoD to design, develop, field, and maintain requirements essential to national security and the survivability of the warfighter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert insight, knowledge, and perspectives on the design and development of entire space systems, including subcomponents.
  • Support program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities.
  • Contribute to the revision or drafting of JCIDS and acquisition documentation.
  • Provide technical and programmatic status reporting of individual projects, programs, or portfolios.
  • Identify areas of improvement with actionable recommendations and tasks for reducing risk.
  • Monitor acquisition implementation, report requirement shortfalls, and provide program assessments based on identified risks.
  • Advise the Government program manager on technical engagements.
  • Maintain awareness of all programs and technology development efforts in execution across the applicable portfolio.
  • Provide technical and operational insight to support mission protection, operations, and mission data assessments.
Required Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in the design and development of entire space systems, including subcomponents.
  • Highly knowledgeable in multiple space operations and space control-related fields.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • TS/SCI Eligibility
