Experiential Therapist

Rogers Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Experiential Therapist to join our team. As an Experiential Therapist, you will be responsible for developing, planning, implementing, facilitating, directing, and evaluating experiential therapy programming in all specialized treatment areas.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement experiential therapy programs that meet the needs of patients/residents
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to provide comprehensive care
- Conduct experiential therapy sessions, evaluate, and plan programming to meet patients'/residents' needs
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients/residents
- Document treatment plans and evaluations according to Rogers policy
- Participate in training new employees and attend mandatory in-services
- Meet with the manager of Experiential Therapy monthly for clinical guidance and program evaluation
- BS/BA degree in art, music, dance, recreation, or other therapies required; Master's degree preferred
- Certification/registration through appropriate credentialing board preferred
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification required
- Formal training in management of the aggressive patient required
- Ropes and Challenge Course training by Rogers Memorial Hospital required
- Experience working with patients/residents with mental health disorders
- Knowledge of psychosocial functioning of patient/resident groups
- Ability to establish a therapeutic rapport with patients/residents
