WOCN Clinical Nurse Coordinator

The WOCN Clinical Nurse Coordinator plays a vital role in providing consultative and direct clinical care services for patients with ostomies, fistulae, tubes, dermal wounds, and incontinence care. This position requires a strong clinical background, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with nursing, medical, and allied health staff.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patient outcomes and identify populations at risk to propose solutions.
- Provide education services for nursing, medical, and allied health staff and consumers related to ostomies and wounds.
- Consult with nursing and physician patient care stakeholders to ensure high-quality care.
- Assist in research activities aimed at improving clinical services and patient outcomes.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Two years of clinical experience preferred, with leadership or nursing education experience preferred.
- Licensed in the State of Vermont.
- CWOCN Certification (or required within 1 year of hire).
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
- WOCN clinical nursing knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care.
- Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
- Ability to assess and interpret data regarding the patient's status to determine the appropriate plan of care.
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Intermediate Microsoft desktop application skills (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
$56.50 per hour
