About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting. You will work closely with attending physicians, mid-level practitioners, and other members of the patient care team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage phone calls from patients, families, and providers, responding to clinical-related communications as directed.
  • Update medication reconciliation lists, manage prescription refills, and handle pre/post-procedure questions and insurance prior authorization of medications.
  • Conduct insurance prior authorization of diagnostic testing and procedures.
  • Track, collect, and review outpatient test results, reviewing abnormal results with supervising physicians/mid-level practitioners, and informing patients of test results and clinical impact/plan.
  • Complete various medical and administrative forms, such as disability and VNA documentation.
  • Assist with clinical instruction for patients, including medication teaching.
  • Support administrative operations by acting as a clinical liaison to administrative support staff.
  • Maintain and follow patient care protocols.
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve, function as a resource to other members of the team, and resolve complex issues on behalf of providers and patients.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, flexibility to manage multiple tasks, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of computer applications necessary to function in an ambulatory setting, such as MS Outlook and MS Office Suite.
  • Comfort in a practice environment that promotes patient-centered care.
  • RN licensure.
  • EP/Cardiology experience preferred.
